An unusual archive of approximately eight thousand schematic diagrams, charts, graphs, historical photographs, and other images related to lighting products made by the Osram corporation in Germany, the vast majority of which provide highly technical information primarily of use to lighting designers and engineers, along with a smaller subset of illustrations depicting various aspects of residential, commerical, industrial, and institutional lighting applications, most measuring 3" x 3.75", including several hundred photo-negative transparencies, many on glass plates, and mounted photographic prints. N.p. (Germany?) n.d. (circa 1924-1970).
Osram is one of the two leading lighting manufacturers in the world, and operates in the Americas as Osram Sylvania. Although the name Osram was not registered until 1906, a few of the products in the photographs date to slightly earlier. Book ID: 43938
