A striking and rare edition with complex interplay of text and graphic illustrations. Bertini is perhaps best known for his work with and his manifesto on Mec-Art (in conjunction with Pol Bury, Mimmo Rotella, and Alain Jacquet) which celebrated the mechanical reproduction of images and prefigured much book art in subsequent decades. He was also an accomplished painter, graphic artist, and concrete poet. An ambitious collaboration between two important figures in the European postwar avant-garde, as of July 2014, the book is unknown in North American libraries. Book ID: 47944
