Turandot was perhaps Vakhtangov's most notable production and has played at the Vakhtangov Theatre ever since he passed away in 1923. The director was known for incorporating masks, music, dance, abstract costume, avant-garde sets, and the psychological motivations of the characters into his productions. The scenery and costumes for Turandot were designed by I. Nivinskii and the incidental music was composed or arranged by N.I. Sizov. Book ID: 48787
