The Movimento Comunità party was founded in Piedmont in 1947 originally as a cultural movement, and was transformed by Olivetti into a political organization. The journal Comunità actually preceded the official founding of the movement and was started in Rome in March 1946 with the subtitle "Giornale Mensile di Politica e Cultura". This first series ran for six issues, through October 1946. In April 1947, publication transfered to Torino and ran for 26 issues, printed weekly and then biweekly through December 1947. The third series began in Ivrea in 1949, and ran until 1992. Book ID: 48855
