La Forca. No. 1 (15 January 1914) through No. 15 (1 September 1914) (all published).

A complete run in 15 issues of the rare short-lived biweekly Futurist journal, each issue approximately 8 pages, 148 pp. total consecutively numbered, under the editorial direction of Persio Falchi, with poetry and prose contributions from avant-garde figures and Futurist writers, often pitting the Florentine and Tuscan Futurists against the Milanese Futurists (Marinetti, Boccioni, and Balla), covering such diverse topics as Futurist painting, Lacerba, religion, poetry and "parole in libertà", Giovanni Papini, marriage, education, and war. Not illustrated. Some scattered handwritten pencil notations throughout, minor toning, some minor edge wear, final issue with split along spine fold, overall excellent. Small folio. Original self-wrpps., loose as issued, housed in a fitted wooden box with a facsimile or extra copy of issue no. 6 affixed to the lid. Firenze (Brogi e Buccianti) 1914.

Contributors to the journal included Paolo Ratti, Bino Binazzi, Giuseppe Loforte, Alberto Viviani, Giacomo Vanucci, Mario D'Orio, Febo Rege-Gianas, Ruggero Reali, Han Ryner, and Giacomo da Lentino. La Forca had a short but turbulent run of only 15 issues, with the entire first page of no. 14 being censored. Very scarce; as of January 2019, WorldCat locates only two holdings in North American institutions. Book ID: 49001
