The first issue, of only two total published, 8 pp., of the extremely rare Futurist journal founded and edited by Alk Gian (Alkiviàdis Giannòpulos), Piero Negri, and Silvestro Lega, containing poetry, theater, and parole-in-libertà, with a stunning and graphically important Futurist title and masthead, in the style of parole-in-libertà. Not illustrated. Some slight toning especially along edges, uncut pages. 4to. Self-wrpps. Milan 1917.
Although born out of the Futurism of Marinetti, "Freccia Futurista" and its contents bears more of a resemblance to the eclecticism and thematics of Dada publications. Other contributors included Mario Dessy, Maria Ginanni, Cangiullo, Morpurgo, Irma Valeria, Arnaldo Ginna, A. Mazza, and Mario Carli. Incredibly scarce; as of January 2018, WorldCat locates a single holding of issue No. 1 at a North American institution. Book ID: 49007
