The first and only published volume of a proposed series, presenting the evolution of architecture as shown through domestic and civic structures including homes, schools, hôtels, churches, restaurants, and other buildings, single-page preface preceding the portfolio divided into four sections: Avant Propos, Architecture Privée, Architecture Religieuse, and Architecture Publique, with 123 total plates comprised of 102 reproductions from photographs (including a single pochoir plate), primarily façades, together with some architectural details, and 21 floor plans.
