Erevan: Haykakan SSH GA Hratarakch ut yun, 1973. Quarto (26.8 × 20.5). Publisher light blue buckram; , 107, pp. Lacks the decorative dust jacket; else about very good.
A very attractive work featuring ninety-one numbered full page illustrations, printed in black and brown, which showcase various Armenian fonts and lettering designs. With a theoretical introduction and preface by the author and a short bibliography. The work is one of the standard titles on Armenian script and lettering of the twentieth century, which include the albums of Karo Tiraturian, Minas Minasian, and Fred Afrikian. Armenian culture always took great pride in its alphabet and culture of print; related fields such as sign painting and letter carving were practiced until very recently. Scarce in the trade.
