Scarce catalog accompanying an exhibition of Berman's anti-Nazi photomontages, held in post-war Warsaw. Berman's early work was largely inspired by Dada and Constructivism. Under the influence of John Heartfield and the Arbeiter-Illustrierte-Zeitung (AIZ) he gradually turned to overtly political photomontage. The present catalog lists thirty-two works created between 1941-1947, which include his iconic anti-Nazi works, as well as several anti-American photomontages. Introduction by Tadeusz Borowski. With a total of four full-page reproductions (including the cover) of Berman's work. As of August 2019, KVK and OCLC only show the copies at the National Library of Poland and the British Library.
